Super Battle Golf Special Moves & Actions

Last updated: March 2026

Beyond swinging and shooting, Super Battle Golf has a handful of special actions that most players never discover. This page covers all of them — from disarming mines to dodging homing rockets.

How to Disarm a Landmine

Landmines are one of the most dangerous items in the game. Walking into one at normal speed triggers an explosion that stuns you and sends you flying. But you can disarm them safely.

Step-by-step: Disarming a landmine

  1. Spot the mine — Landmines appear as small objects on the ground. They're easy to miss at speed, so scan the path ahead.
  2. Hold Alt to enter Creep mode — Your character slows to a careful walk. You must stay in Creep mode the entire time you approach.
  3. Walk slowly toward the mine — Keep holding Alt. Do not release it or you'll trigger the explosion.
  4. Press E when close enough — The interact prompt appears when you're in range. Press E to disarm and pick up the mine.
Why bother disarming? Picking up a disarmed mine adds it to your inventory as a usable item. You can then place it yourself — turning an enemy trap into your own weapon.

Common mistakes

  • Releasing Alt before pressing E — always keep Creep mode active until the mine is disarmed
  • Trying to disarm while being chased — only attempt it when you have a clear moment
  • Forgetting that your own mines can also stun you if you walk into them normally

What Is a Homing Shot?

A homing shot is a projectile — typically from the Rocket Launcher — that tracks a target player. When fired at a locked-on opponent, it curves to follow them rather than flying in a straight line.

How to dodge a homing shot

The moment you see a rocket curving toward you, press Ctrl to dive. The dive has a brief invincibility window that lets you pass through the projectile without taking damage. Timing is everything — dive too early and the rocket will still catch you.

Alternatively, duck behind a wall or obstacle. Homing shots can't navigate around solid geometry, so breaking line-of-sight stops them.

Achievement: Dodging 50 homing shots unlocks Catlike Reflexes. The dive (Ctrl) is the fastest and most reliable way to dodge — practice it until it's instinct.

How to Do Sweet Moves

"Sweet Moves" refers to the emote/dance animation — and it's also the name of a specific achievement.

Performing the emote

Press T at any time to trigger your equipped emote. Your character performs a dance animation. You can emote while standing still or even while moving.

Sweet Moves achievement

To unlock the Sweet Moves achievement, dance on the green for 3 continuous seconds before anyone finishes the hole. The easiest way to do this:

  1. Get your ball close to the flag (within one easy shot).
  2. Don't sink it yet. Instead, press T and hold the emote for 3 full seconds.
  3. Then sink the ball normally.

Works best in a solo practice session or with cooperative friends.

Can You Play Left-Handed?

Super Battle Golf doesn't have a dedicated left-handed mode, but you can effectively mirror your controls through Steam Input or in-game key rebinding.

Option 1: Remap keys in Settings

Go to Settings → Controls and reassign movement and action keys to a layout that feels natural for left-handed play. Many left-handed players prefer using arrow keys for movement and remapping action keys to the left side of the keyboard.

Option 2: Mirror mouse buttons via Steam Input

In Steam Input (right-click the game → Manage → Controller Configuration), you can swap left and right mouse button functions so that right-click swings and left-click uses items — the reverse of the default layout.

Other Special Actions

Enter / Exit Golf Cart

Walk up to the Golf Cart and press E to enter. Press E again to exit. Up to 8 players can ride simultaneously.

Interrupt an Opponent's Swing

Use the Air Horn (RMB) while an opponent is mid-swing to cancel their shot. Timing it perfectly is the key to the Clowning Around achievement.

Elephant Gun Propulsion

Point the Elephant Gun at the ground, jump, and fire mid-air. The recoil launches you forward — the fastest self-propulsion move in the game.

Wall Bounce Shot

Aim your shot at a wall at an angle. The ball ricochets off surfaces, letting you reach the hole from angles a direct shot can't cover.
