Super Battle Golf Tips & Tricks

Last updated: March 2026

Whether you just bought the game or you're grinding ranked, these 15 tips will sharpen your play. We've split them into three tiers — work through them in order and you'll go from confused newcomer to a genuine threat on any course.

Beginner Tips (Tips 1–5)

Master these first. They cover the fundamentals that every new player gets wrong.

1

Dive is your most important move

Press Ctrl to dive. New players ignore this and get destroyed. Use it to dodge rockets, escape orbital lasers, and reach item briefcases before opponents. There is no cooldown — dive constantly.

2

Don't always use full power

Hold left click longer for more power, but max power is rarely the right call. Near the hole, a gentle tap beats a wild full-power shot that overshoots. Learn to feel the power meter — medium shots win more holes than max-power ones.

3

Hit checkpoints — every single one

The floating red objects that turn green are checkpoints. If you fall off the map or into water, you respawn at your last checkpoint. Missing even one can cost you 10–15 seconds. Prioritize them over shortcuts.

4

Drop bad items immediately

Press F to drop items. You hold up to 3 — if you pick up a third item you don't want, drop it right away to keep your inventory clean. Holding a useless item when you need a good one is a common beginner mistake.

5

Adjust your swing angle for obstacles

Middle mouse button changes your swing angle. High angle = ball goes up and over obstacles. Low angle = ball rolls along the ground for precision near the hole. Most beginners never touch this and wonder why their ball keeps hitting walls.

Intermediate Tips (Tips 6–10)

Once the basics click, these will separate you from the average lobby.

6

Club-hitting opponents gives you a speed boost

Swinging your club into another player stuns them briefly AND gives you a temporary speed boost. In a close race to the hole, one well-timed melee hit can flip the result. Don't just use your club for golf — use it as a weapon.

7

Speed items are underrated

Spring Boots and Coffee look boring next to rockets and lasers, but reaching the hole first is the highest-value play in the game. Being ahead means opponents waste items on each other instead of you. Pick up speed items early and run.

8

Use Creep mode to disarm mines safely

Hold Alt to enter Creep (slow walk) mode, then approach the mine slowly and press E to disarm it. Walking at normal speed triggers the explosion. Disarming an enemy mine also removes a threat from the course — worth doing if you have time.

9

Target the leader, not the last-place player

Wasting a Rocket Launcher on someone already in last place is a throw. Save offensive items for whoever is closest to the hole. One well-placed rocket on the leader can swing the entire hole result in your favor.

10

Knockouts earn points — don't ignore them

Stunning opponents earns you points even if you don't finish first. In a hole where you're behind, switching to a knockout-focused strategy can still net you a solid score. See the scoring guide for the exact point breakdown.

Advanced Tips (Tips 11–15)

These techniques take practice but will make you genuinely hard to beat.

11

Elephant Gun propulsion

The Elephant Gun's knockback affects you too. Point it at the ground, jump, and shoot mid-air — the recoil launches you forward. Combine with Spring Boots for massive distance. This is the fastest non-cart movement in the game.

12

Use the Golf Cart as a weapon, not just transport

The Golf Cart can carry all 8 players — but you can also drive it directly into opponents to knock them off course. Park it near the hole and bounce your ball off it for trick shots. Drive it into water with passengers for chaos (and an achievement).

13

Wall bounces open up new shot lines

Your ball ricochets off walls and objects. On tight courses, a wall-bounce shot can reach the hole from angles that a direct shot can't. Spend time in Solo Practice learning the bounce geometry on your least-favorite maps.

14

Slope physics give free distance

Hitting downhill adds significant extra distance to your shot. On maps with elevation changes, aim to hit from the top of a slope rather than the bottom. Conversely, uphill shots lose distance — account for this when choosing power level.

15

Let enemy knockback work for you

Getting hit by a rocket or cart isn't always bad. If the knockback direction is toward the hole, you can gain ground from an attack. Watch your position relative to the hole when you're about to get hit — sometimes the best move is to not dodge.

Item Tips Quick Reference

🚀 Rocket Launcher

Save for the leader. Direct hit stuns and sends them flying.

💣 Landmine

Place on narrow paths and checkpoints, not open areas.

Orbital Laser

Covers a wide area — use it to clear a cluster of players.

🐘 Elephant Gun

Use for propulsion (tip #11) as much as for attacking.

🛒 Golf Cart

Fastest movement item. Grab it early and drive straight to the hole.

🧲 Electromagnet

Blocks one incoming projectile. Hold it when you're in the lead.
